On Monday around 9:30 pm our friends, Jackson and JC, informed us of a possible upcoming event. Neither alarmist nor melodramatic like the fear caused by news bulletins, but that of the peaceful and calm observation of the Northern Lights between 10:00 pm and 11:30 pm. The whole intention was there. They shared with us the human need to come together around a cosmic phenomenon, beyond our powers and which can be enjoyed for free. Without hesitation, I left the comfort of my bed to go to the Borgot lighthouse.
That night, I didn't see the Northern Lights. They'll be there next time. The place was perfectly magical in the absence of Disney-worthy fireworks. I was facing eternity in the darkness to the rhythm of the waves crashing at the foot of the point of land swallowed by the sea.
Thanks neighbors!
